Thank you for the information about the length of time you have been taking cider vinegar. But I still don't understand what you mean by "Mother". Is it a herb? What is it?

The Mother,”is a cobweb-like stuff at the bottom of the bottle, which is made up of raw enzymes and bacteria that promote digestive health, as they feed the good bacteria in our gut . Ordinary apple cider vinegar is filtered and the mother has been removed,so that it looks clearer, like apple juice.

      Thank you for the explanation.

I will look for cider vinegar with this ingredient at a health food store.

Normally, I am hesitant to try these things, as every drug that has been reported to cure T, has also been reported as making T worse. But in this case, cider vinegar seems harmless enough. There is no reason not to try it.

As usual, these posts seem to revolve around acoustic trauma. It seems like the folks who got theirs from medication are screwed :|

Sorry to be a negative nancy

Dont worry some say the opposite about acoustic trauma versus other cases. We just cant say nothing surely at this point, there is no evidences to either sides.

Ok so now I'm saying this has helped my tinnitus to be silent and it brought the hissing ringing levels down to bearable sound. My tinnitus was caused from cold and flu with serious ear infection I also had wax build up after removal still hissing ringing. After a year I discovered the Apple cider vinegar. @Bill Bauer and @Tony Phylactou I am only saying this has definitely helped. So if you try it and it helps that is all that can be expected

I will buy that vinegar sometime this week. I will share my experiences with it at the end of January. If it helps more than one person, we might want to create a separate thread for it.

Yes some of these testimonials explain that they put apple cider vinegar INTO their ears...
I think that .bill was implying just consuming it (drink), just saying.
(by testimonials I meant comments that we see above the article)

@Bill Bauer thank you for mentioning your experience in the forum. After reading your comment here I felt a lot of courage and positivity that my case might be cured. Mine was due to a traumatic incident and I can hear in silent rooms and other times a little (When I stop car at traffic lights / quiet conference rooms / restrooms/ places with no background noises (AC/Fridge/Exhaust fans) but that itself is taking a toll on me when I try to fall asleep it's making me drive crazy and crying endlessly. Reading all negative stories made me much more anxious that this is permanent. It's been 2 and half weeks and I my perspective in handling it changed from day 1 to today but I think there is a long way to go.

I read very few positive stories from Internet so i keep searching for positive stories dug deeper and found this thread.

I also have a relative who is 62 years old she got Tinnitus for no reason. She is from India ENT gave her some meds for tinnitus and she did try masking techniques and she did complain a lot initially of how she was unable to sleep but her son did try all the masking techniques. Now she is T free after 5-6 months. I am not sure if she was cured because of meds or it went away by itself.

Reading your comment did give me hope

I am not aware of any meds that are known to cure tinnitus. It looks like it went away by itself. Thank you for sharing this success story!

Don't worry too much if you don't notice any improvement during the first 2 months or so. Many people begin seeing some improvement sometime between month 1 and month 3.

You had it for less than a month, and your symptoms are similar to symptoms that some people get after healing for over 6 months. This seems to imply that your injury wasn't as bad as that of many people here. This is encouraging.

      Hi Bill,

The website that I found the picture says,

"Just keep in mind that you should never drink apple cider vinegar straight as it can burn your esophagus. Instead, mix one tablespoon with 8 ounces of water. If you don’t like the taste, use a straw to minimize contact with your taste buds. Adding a bit of raw honey can help too."

I have been taking it for about a week now. I might have experienced some minor fading.

On day 3, I began having pain in the area of my stomach. I decided to stop drinking water with vinegar on an empty stomach. Now I am just adding a table spoon of this vinegar to all of the meals where this is possible (e.g., mashed potatoes). My stomach stopped hurting. Hopefully I am still getting some medicinal benefit out of it...

I'm still quite curious about the OP's story. I'd like to hear more about the cousin and his story. It's quite similar to mine. Accident with a gun (read: being a cocksure idiot) in my car. Windows rolled up and doors closed. I haven't had any improvement in 75 days aside from medication. Does he really not want to talk about it?

does wearing ear plugs make you hear more to T? When I wear earplugs I hear more T.

Also, its not noisy at work or when I out but I carry ear plugs with me always to make sure to protect myself in time of uncertain loud situations. When I wear earplug more it makes me panic as I can hear T more than if I won't wear them. So, when I feel I don't need them most of the times I am not at noisy places so I don't wear them. If wearing them would reduce T.. I would go for it.

Wearing them makes it easier for me to hear T. I am trading off discomfort now, for the decrease in probability that T will get louder and that I will be in a lot of discomfort for a long time in the future.
