Indy 500

Well I've been to just about 10 indy 500's or so and I thought I had the best experience in 2009 when I got to see a rugby acquaintance win it in (Scott Dixon) and we got to go into the winners circle when he was presented the trophy and finished off the day at several owner parties.

Well I just found out my wife who is a Manager of sort for a big doctors association just got two tickets in the VIP pagoda party, (where all the celebrities are), and a few laps in a two seater indy car the night before.

I am invited but obviously can't go. I HATE TINNITUS.

This makes me wonder how many indy car drivers and pit crew personnel have tinnitus and/or hearing loss and what hearing protection they use.

Those races are loud. Everyone there should wear hearing protection, regardless of whether they have hearing loss or tinnitus.
