Hi!

I have been dealing with this off and on for over 3 months and I am at the point where life is starting to fall apart to a degree.

Have not been sleeping... Tried ambient noise apps etc with no success.

I have an appointment with a new ENT on November 16th who has a great reputation for helping with this debilitating condition. I had to go to my Primary Care doc this morning to get a prescription for sleep meds.

I hoping i can at lease get some sleep tonight and build from there.

I cannot believe how distracting/maddening this condition is and I can only hope for some sleep in the short term and ultimately a therapy which can help me manage this.

@Paul F,
Welcome to Tinnitus Talk.
I hope you went on ok at the doctors and got some sleep.
What did they give you ?

love glynis

Warm welcome to the forum. If the doctors don't give you sleep pills, you may try more natural alternative such as Melatonin.

They gave me ambien and I tossed it out after a few days...didn't like the way it made me feel. Very strange dreams/nightmares and was still beat the next day. Have been using Tylenol PM as needed and will defintely give Melatonin a try. Thank you for all of the replies!!

I can only hope for some sleep

Hi @Paul F,

I've had serious sleep issues for many years, and recently discovered that regularly using a mild HBOT chamber works better than anything else I've tried. In some areas, they can be leased by the month for about $600. You can purchase a brand newe one for less than $7,000. I also take Melatonin, which helps a lot. -- All the Best!

What areas are those? All of the places that I am aware of charge $200-400 per hour...

Actually, I've only run across a single business in Denver that leases them, and have not looked further. I've just assumed other areas have them as well.

This place even has purchase options after the lease is completed.
