So basically, I noticed/started having tinnitus about 4-6 days ago, and it has been very irritating. I'm almost never around loud sounds and never listen to music. I had some aches around my left ear along with the ringing, as well as some dampened hearing in the left ear. I went to the doctor and I was told that there was some fluid behind the eardrum, and was told to use some nasal spray before I go to bed to help the fluid drain. (I'm 14 by the way)
So my questions are:
*Can tinnitus be caused by fluid behind the eardrum?
*I'm 2 days into using the nasal spray and the ringing is still there, is there hope it will go away along with the dampened hearing? I honestly just want silence again.
EDIT: I also have used Q-tips a ton over the years, and I've had issues with wax before, but my doctor didn't say anything about wax, so I don't know if it's an issue or not.
