Hello All,
Glad to see may helping people around here. I am male, 30 years old. Let me tell how my Tinnitus has started. 5 days ago I drove to 400 miles drive in SUV while listening to very loud music, in fact, I have been listening to loud music for very long time, 10 years or more. I have attended many concerts, have many headphones and go to ravings too some times.
After driving 400 miles to have a vacation, I started feeling very light ringing sound in my left year but I thought it was because of lot of driving and would go away after good sleep. I woke up in the morning but its still there. I waited for two days and went to ENT. Doctor did a sound test and told me that there is a light hearing loss but I can hear everything normally without any issues. I also asked him that when will my Tinnitus go away, he said it would go away between 4 to 6 weeks. He did not give me any medications, he said I dont have any wax so no need of cleaning ears. But he just gave me some over the counter vitamins (Lipo-Flavonoid). Its been 6 days now, its not getting better but worse. Should I be worried? or just wait for 4 to 6 weeks as doctor mentioned?

I would not listen to music in your car, at least for some time.
on't wear earplugs for normal noise in your home but wear them in elevated noisey environments or when using tools etc.
