      So, since around October last year I have had a hiss in my ear. It was very difficult to cope with it at first. But, I eventually did and my life was sort of getting back on track. The noise was still there. But, It only really became a issue at night.

      Fast forward to the last weekend and I am ready to end it all. I've started to hear a car engine or washing machine constantly running in what seems like another room or outside. This sound does not even feel like it is coming from my ears. But, no one else can hear it. Where as my hissing was high pitched. This is a very low pitch rumble. Feel like my life is over :(

      @Anthonyr ,
      I understand how you feel but don't give up hope.
      Have your ears checked and try keep relaxing music on around you keep you calm.
      It can go but it's hard when you have one or two sounds together.
      I found utube easyjet masking sound helpful.

      Yes, I have had my ears checked. No signs of wax or infection. I don't even have hearing loss. Just came overnight and never left. I wish I could keep calm. But, If I get used to this sound. I'll probably get a third noise. Feel like I am fighting a losing battle.

      I was dizzy for about 2 months after a cold in November. My doctor said it was labyrinthitis and gave me naproxin and behistamine. My tinnitus was already there before those medications. Although one of them could of made it worse. I also have constant muscle twitches around my body. Including my inner ear. This was diagnosed as BFS.

      I have a MRI soon.

      Are you still on Betahistine ?
      It can help reduce tinnitus for some people 16mg three times a day .
