      I have both kinds of tinnitus, the ordinary constant high-pitched sound and pulsatile tinnitus which always reminds of the sound of crash cymbals on a drum set. Thank God for the internet. But one needs the time to weed out the scams from real cures, if there are any! Has anyone tried the onion juice cure? I'm going to try it out over the weekend. I read on one site that one of the causes of tinnitus is depression. I have been quite highly distressed in the period before my tinnitus started. So could laughter help? It's supposed to be the best medicine.

      There is no known cure for tinnitus. If onion juice was, we would already know about it. I think it helps with infections, but Im not sure. However unless you are allergic, some onion juice might not do bad, just dont overdo it.
      It is important to keep in mind that anything advertised in the internet as a cure for tinnitus is a scam. Only good doctors can help with treatments or cures and so far they have none. Magnesium, B-vitamins, antidepressants and fishoil or codliver oil might help some, but not a lot and not always. The only treatment we have is TRT - tinnitus retaining therapy, which is going to help you not notice your tinnitus. Stress can sure be a triggerer, as well as loud noises, certain medications, depression etc. Laughter is good for you anyway:)

      @jeannie ,

      Sleeping, is the only short term cure for tinnitus, that I know of. Now, if I could just figure out how to sleep 24 hrs a day, I'd be permanently cured! };-)

      There seems to be so many "cures" on the internet!! I am convinced that mine is IT! I have always had high blood pressure, anxiety, nervous etc. I just think my hyper mind and body finally got the best of me.
