Cause of Tinnitus
Absolutely no idea!
Hello everyone,

I've recently developed a spike in my 'noise' and am experiencing considerable muscular pain around my ear and pain within my ear. I am dealing with sound intolerance at the moment, particularly from sudden noises, e. g. slamming doors, plates etc, as well as reactive T (hissing and morse code) in which it tries to compete with external sound. Has anyone else had this? I seem to think i'm presenting with TTTS, anyhow i'm due to have a followup with the Tinnitus clinic so will hopefully have more info in due course.

I seem to think i'm presenting with TTTS,

TTTS is known to cause beeping or clicking type of tinnitus. Do you have that? I sense from your description that you have some element of hyperacusis when door slamming are dishes are hurtful. I had severe H in my initial days so I know how you feel. Your ear pain may be a result of ear infection or injury and inflammation, which can cause your current spike. Have you seen an ENT yet to check out the ears?
