The world may never know..
Hi guys, I just wanted to share something that works for me to calm down the "loose wires" sounds I get some days: I eat popping candy (pop rocks).

I don't know why or could not tell you that there's a science behind it, but every time my head is clicking and sounds like electrical wires are flickering in my head, I eat popping candy, and it seems to calm things down. I'm in bed right now and couldn't relax, but I remembered I had bought a big bag of 30 sachets, and lo and behold, it's settled down. Enough that I'm getting sleepy typing this, haha. It tends to work when I get the static sounds whizzing and chirping around my head. It also tastes nice.

Anyways, not a cure but just seems to "scratch the itch" in a way.

This is wild! I can actually see how that would be a Band-Aid for certain kinds of tinnitus spikes, and I will be trying it today. I'll report back.

I had a very limited amount of popping candy to experiment with, but it was definitely interesting.

The popping sound seemed about the same frequency as the tinnitus so it felt like the tinnitus in the skull and the popping sensation at the roof of the mouth had become one.

"Scratching an itch" sums it up pretty well, but the tinnitus did go down a little later. I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence, but I'm enjoying the idea of a clinical trial involving Pop Rocks. ;)
