      Tinnitus Since:
many years, but much worse after acoustic trauma in 2014
Is it possible to get barotrauma from sound?

I was exposed to a flare gun in my ear. Months later when an ENT looked at my hear, he said it was slightly retracted. This is the ear that now sounds full/muffled. I did not have a ruptured eardrum, so I am not sure how this could have happened-from swelling?

Is there a possibility to heal this? What do you do for it?

Also, in this same ear, there is now more crackling when swallowing, and other more "fluid" feelings in the ear, though the doctor has told me there is no fluid present. I also received a second opinion just to be sure, and he said the same thing...
