Hi all, this is my first post after finding this site.
I started developing tinnitus around 2 months ago, it would only cause me an issue with deep low sounds that would cause my eardrum to sound like a broken speaker when a distance away from the source.

Over the past 3 weeks, the tinnitus has increased and changed in tone to a constant deep sounding moan. This is exasperated by an echo that is out of tune when hearing any sounds, but mostly high pitched sounds; singing etc, almost like someone is whispering inside my ear repeating everything out of tune. (This is sporadic).

I also have (on and off) a fluttering sound in my left ear, a bit like a butterfly is trapped inside my ear drum. My ears seem to be constantly cracking and popping.

I booked myself in for a hearing test at a well known high street specialist, and this confirmed that my right ear has considerable hearing loss in the low range and my left ear minor loss in the higher range. The hearing specialist instantly referred me to an ENT, they did say that if I had said the tinnitus was only very recent they would be admitting me to A&E.

I have an appointment on Monday to see the ENT and have an MRI scan, but obviously I am highly anxious. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar symptoms, not just the tinnitus obviously but the out of tune echo and constant fluttering, cracking and popping.
