Hey everyone,

This is probably a really bad idea, but I've noticed when I cup/slap my left ear (the one that developed tinnitus recently) it makes my T disappear for about ten minutes, but then it comes back.

I tried it with the ear that's had T for a decade, and all it did was make my ear hurt. Didn't try it again after that.

I know it's not healthy, but it sucks experiencing that blissful quiet in my left ear knowing that the price is probably not worth it in the long run. How can I stop doing this when the relief I get is so great?

What a fucking curse.

Try not to do it.
Our ears are really delicate and could cause more damage.
Audiology is the way to go and maybe white noise generators if you don't adjust natural over a few months.
Try play relaxing music and if have trouble sleeping seek help for that.
Love glynis

After I listen to tones on

my T goes away for about a minute. This is normal. There is a term for it, but I can't remember what it is.

If you want relief, you can try listening to those high pitch tones. It is my understanding that as long as the volume is reasonable, those sounds shouldn't actually do any damage to your ears.
