Solve the Riddle

I've always liked riddles. I've made this one myself. Try to solve it. The person who makes it can post a new riddle if he/she wants.

Zim and Zam were trying to find out who of them who was the tallest. Despite the height difference between them being 1 foot (30 centimeters) it was impossible for them to find out who the tallest one was. This was not due to lack of intelligence or problems with the landscape. The landscape was flat and they stood next to each other for a long amount of time, and they just couldn't find out how to determine who the tallest of them was. Why was this so hard for them?

 

They stood with their backs to each other so they couldnt see who was tallest?

 

Because they were both on Retigabine...

 

No. Theyre both able to see in any direction. And their mental state is not inflicted by any drug

 

They were blind and armless and deaf so they couldnt tell who was taller or shorter

 

How long?

 

Lets say 10 minutes. It could be 10 days. The amount of time is not important here.

No, they're standing next to each other. They're at the same place at the same time.

in the brain....split personality people see the other personality as being quite separate. So an illusion in the brain....that was what I meant. Anyhow its the wrong answer. Thinking cap back on but this is kinda fun and a good post. Thanks

 

They are not human at all. They are plants

 

Either Zim and Zam wasnt even humans, they were animals of some sort that stood on all four legs and in that position they couldnt see who was tallest?

OR

They are humans, standing on all four?

 

They both had tinnitus so they couldn't focus on the task at hand but were instead plugging their ears and going MAHP:

Because they "stood" on their hands...

 

Sorry but your question is too vague to be answered. And everytime someone gives an answer, you say it's wrong and change the assumptions!

 

No right answers so far. They're standing on 2 legs and they're not held back mentally by tinnitus or anything like that

You don't give much information to start with. When someone says they are standing on 4 legs you say no they are not. When someone says they have tinnitus you say its wrong. Well you didn't say all of that at the start did you.

 

So you want him to list everything it's not... It's a riddle mate lmao XD

Please can you answer our results..? I suggested a plant, ie zim and zam are not human at all. lapidus had a similar idea. and @attheedgeofscience came up with a good idea too that they were standing on their hands.
But if they are standing on two legs then they cant be plants but it doesnt say that they are standing on legs in your post. It just says standing next to each other. Are they human beings?

we are all trying to solve your riddle...but not cross if we can't....just intrigued....

 

Lets say they are a few meters apart looking at each other. They can not tell because they are not aware of thier own length?

Standing on hands doesn't mean you can't tell. You can still feel each other's legs to see which one is higher.

Even if they were standing on their hands what is stopping them from standing up on their feet? The question is too vague.

 

I also forgot to mention that there was no evil genie that has cast a spell on them which prevents them from measuring lengths. How silly of me.

I have seen no right answers yet. For those who says that Zim and Zam aren't human, you're onto something.
