Has anyone seen the Specsavers advert??

Shows a guy as part of a band who seems to lose hearing.

With a hearing aid he is able to continue playing in the band "that is the best sound" he is quoted as saying.

I can only speak for my own condition but it seems many of us with hearing issues cannot deal with loud music and bars etc which is exactly where this ad is set.

Maybe I have the wrong end of the stick here but I feel this portrays the incorrect aspect of hearing loss.

Sounds incredibly irresponsible. Would make me think twice about going to Specsavers for anything.

Yeah i saw that a few months ago and wondered the same thing. Having said that I have been at a few loudish events lately and i was fine. One was a wedding where they had a band play and the second was a halloween party when i was away for that weekend. I just stood near the back both times and was okay(no plugs). I think there are so many variations what peoples ears can take after getting T.
