      Hello!

My name is Christopher and i am 16 years old. In 31/08/2014 my tinnitus just started. I accepted that and it was ok, i completely forgotten about tinnitus. But in one night, 30/07/2016 i noticed my tinnitus was louder than before. That was hard for me. I haven't been able to sleep. But now i think is little better but i dont know really. I can sleep without pills but in home when tv is on i cant watching because tinnitus is loud. Is this permament spike? Or just it will be for few weeks? I cant hear now a single "clapping hands" on moderate level because its to annoying for my ears... I used headphones but on moderate level, i dont know what happened.

Is this "spike" will be gone or no?

      Sorry for my bad english

You should go get an audiogram, see if there's any hearing loss and go from there.
Oh, and lose the headphones for a while.

Im currently going through a nasty spike 6 weeks counting, its very random from my understanding, some people its a few days-week, others anywhere from 2-3 months to even 6 months

      Welcome to Tinnitus Talk @wilcola81.
Spikes can last a few days or more but over time you will notice how long they stay and how loud and will give you an idea if it's out of the normal for you and get your ears checked.
Also knowing you for through the spike and will again.
Always nice have a ace up your sleeve like a treat like a new CD or plan something nice to look forward too.
Have a chat with your doctor if the spike lasts long as might be able give you something if gets to much.
      Stay positive..
      .lots of love glynis
