hi,
have any of you had a spike because of a cold ?
I don't feel that my ears are blocked.
this spike is a new sound that I haven't have before been having it for 5 days and my cold is better.
how long does a spike last because of a cold/flu?

Hi Bella,
Ears are the last to get better after a cold and normal for a tinnitus spike to hang around for a few weeks after and should settle back down to your normal base sound soon.
Time is a great healer....lots of love glynis

I'm going through the same thing right now. I just made a similar post today about it. Yeah I have a cold and it caused a new ringing in my ear since it started. It's scary. everyone says it will go away but I always have that fear that it won't

Did it go away? I am battling the same thing right now and I am scared this spike might not go away :(

@Fangen Yes it did go away

That's a relief to hear, although my spike has been going on for the past few days (ironically the cold stopped over a week ago) and I am rather scared it might be permanent. But it seems it goes away for the majority of people here so keeping my fingers crossed..
