I do have TMJ, but as of tonight, my ear has decided to pick up the sound of my jaw opening.
It almost feels like a thump every time I open my jaw...
Strange thing is, it's on my good ear... bad TMJ side.

      Anyone else had this?
Wonder if it could also be the sound of wax as I put Waxsol in my ear the other day?

      You think?

It is only with moving my jaw. Hopefully it fucks off. Pardon my French.

edit: I lie, I have been having some tensing the last week or so.

      Noise exposure (most likely)
@LukeYoung How wide do you have to open the jaw for the sound to appear? Is it produced both when opening and closing your mouth? Just curious.

There is a theres hold. So after I open it over 1 quarter of the way it happens. Happens on opening and closing

Probably noise, stress and a neck injury.
I get tensing too. It's pretty weird though because sometimes it happens after a noise and sometimes it happens when moving my neck or jaw, or keeping my head in a certain position. Always the same feeling, and never the same noises that set it off.

Wonder if it's somehow just a muscle being irritated because of poor posture. Can't say it's TTTS for myself.

Only thing I can describe it sounds like something moving inside my ear. Kind of like wax or something. Only with jaw movements tho.. I am due for another clean out..

It also does it when moving jaw side to side.

I can replicate it on the other side if I shift my jaw left then open up and down.

Kinda weird it just happened out of nowhere though...
