Does anyone experience this? When I wake up throughout the night, while still half asleep, my tinnitus spikes with every eye movement. It is a screeching sound in sync to the movement of my eyes.

This can be a part of the somatic tinnitus. Typically it's head and jaw movements, but eyes have been mentioned as well. I recall tongue as well in some cases.

I'd just like to bump this thread out of curiosity.
One thing that happens very often is that I wake up in the middle of the night. While being almost fully conscious, my eye-movements from left to right causes extreme increases in tinnitus that lasts for a fraction of a second. When I'm fully awake, this stops happening, so it only happens in this transient state.

Anybody else have this? What can be the cause? This must be something neurological. I never experienced this before my tinnitus became hyper-reactive.

      All the best,
      Stacken
