      Tinnitus Since:
      9/4/16
      Cause of Tinnitus:
going for a rim shot on the snare drum.
Tried an experiment using sound proof ear muffs but noticed the sound waves still had an effect on my ears...

Does ear plugs solve this issue? Does time heal this? Thanks

Hi, ear plugs usually has higher attenuation than muffs but nothing will block loud noise 100%. But if your tinnitus is sensitive to loud noise ear plugs may protect you much better. I've tried many types and I'm using them daily (approx 10 hours every working day).

Not sure I understand your question. Are you asking for tips to play your drum kit?

I don't have an a-kit. I play my e-kit regularly. I think it helps me. I keep the volume reasonable.
