My main high pitch ringing is balanced in both ears. Sometimes I get noises in only one ear, currently I'm experiencing a mid tone pitch in my left ear. Is unevenness common?

Tinnitus comes in many forms and intensities and no two people experience it the same. It can be: mild, moderate or severe. In one ear or both, known as bilateral tinnitus. The noise can be experienced as if it's coming from the middle of the head. It can be intermittent or constant. Some people have variable tinnitus that ranges from: complete silence, mild, moderate and severe or extremely severe. I have variable bilateral tinnitus.
