(I have T in my right ear only starting may 1,2017)
So on Monday July 3rd I went to a new ENT doctor that I was referred over to by Allison audiology, I went to an audiologist because I was seeking treatment...they said it was too early and because I told them my story they said it was best for a second opinion and it was the best ENT in Houston.
I went to the ENT and they did a much more thorough hearing test...
In May I did have very low hearing loss in right ear, as of July 3rd I have perfect hearing, no hearing loss now.
Saw ENT doctor and he said I had sudden hearing loss with tinnitus.
I asked him about cochlear hydrops and said it's a made up diagnosis and it's simply irrelevant.
However he did tell me the tinnitus comes from the brain signaling sound to my ear, and sometimes the brain won't shut that noise off. He said there are several ways to cope with it but most people habituate because it's no longer intrusive to the person or it goes away...
The reason why I share my stories is because anyone who goes through this I hope to help...not every day is easy but it's been much more manageable. Much love
