Has anyone tried a weighted blanket for depression, anxiety and insomnia?
Basically it's a blanket that's 10% of your body weight and it 'hugs' you thereby minimising fidgeting and is supposed to help you sleep better and longer, which we know some of us don't.
I slept under a heavy shawl last night and was zonked for 9 hours. Mind you I tend to sleep better when I've taken Mirtazapine the night before.
Anyone got one?

I love it and it definitely helps to ease low levels of anxiety. It feels nice and soothing wrapped on you. They come in different weights. You have to figure which one is best for you, based on your body weight. Mine is 14 lbs. I do not sleep with it, just use it during the day while reading, crocheting or watching tv. Nice and warm also. Anything that will help me to relax at least a little bit, is a winner for me. Let me also suggest wood wick candles.
better and not twist and turn so much in bed. A winner for us.
