This is unfortunate. Seems to have been kept pretty low key but hopefully it brings some spotlight to the condition(s).

      Here are some quotes:

“I had to take different medications just to be able to get through shooting without real pain at times,” he says.

“I still feel I’m learning how to behave because I was quite cranky a lot.”

A justifiable reason for Ross levels of rage.

Maybe Ross will become an activist for reseach?

I wish celebrities would come forward and tell their tinnitus stories more and how they have persevered to remain successful in their careers. In maybe a twisted ironic way, it's uplifting to hear when someone you can look up to has managed to get through life in a positive manner with tinnitus. I wish we could know how severe the tinnitus of the celebrities who have come forward actually is though.

I know William Shatner and David Letterman have spoken about their tinnitus together before on the Late Show, but it doesn't seem they are quite at the level of many of us here and have been able to be on loud studio sets without any worsening while we get worse by dropping a fork on the kitchen floor.

What a horrible irony: David Schwimmer develops tinnitus from schwimming. I sometimes wonder if this condition doesn't have its own twisted sense of humour.

So I actually wrote a letter to David's agents last summer to see if he could promote tinnitus and hyperacusis research but sadly no response. Doesn't seem to use social media much anyway so beyond the article interview there's been no other statements as far as I know. I think he's thankfully doing better overall. I didn't want to push further with it just out of respect and I think the ship has sailed anyway.
