What the Heck! High-Pitched Tone Comes and Goes Several Times a Second

Hi Folks,

On and off over the last year I have had tinnitus in my left ear. But it's a strange type of tinnitus it's a high pitched 14 kHz tone but what happens is it comes and goes several times a second it's a bit like a sweeping where it completely vanishes then comes back then vanishes again.

Anyone else get this - Normally it lasts 2 or 3 days and I only noticed it yesterday so I am expecting it to be gone by Monday as I don't recall doing anything that would have caused it, maybe some loud headphones perhaps?

I do not have that type of tinnitus, but others here have mentioned a "morse code" like tinnitus. I would search the forum for that phrase an you may find people who are experiencing similar symptoms.
