Where I Live...

Wow! Vancouver to Houston. That must have been quite the adjustment, living in a super liberal city then moving to an uber conservative one, although the 60's 70's weren't like it is today.

 

I just listened to the symphony, and it is amazing (especially the opening theme when one is aware of the above). Thank you.

That is a little creek that is 5 minute walk from my house.

 

One of my favorite places in the general area between Vancouver and Calgary is Peyto Lake. The colour of that water changes depending on the lighting. It tends to be emerald in the summer

and blue in the winter

 

When I was a teen I played a lot of piano, Rachmoninoff was one of my favorite. I had contemplated studying music in University, looks like I should have since I ended up with Tinnitus after all; I would have fit in with all of the musicians.

Wow, beautiful. I just looked it up, Peyto Lake is near Banff, Alberta. I love it there. I am hoping to go to Waterton Lakes National Park this summer, it is supposed to be alot like Banff just not as busy with tourists.

 

At least the dead don't make any noise. I'd rather chill in a cemetery than a loud restaurant or bar.

 

Waterton Lakes is wonderful. If you are in that area, make sure to check out Glacier National Park in the United States (it is not far from Waterton, and is also absolutely spectacular).

I wasn't aware of the cemeteries in Scotland and Japan listed above, and now I want to see them. I am also even more keen on visiting that Highgate cemetery in London.

I love this picture, so scenic with rolling hills, tradional homes with a highway nearby to drown out T, perfect. It reminds me of my relatives’ homes in Switzerland.
