Where to Get TRT (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy) in London, UK?

@Steve, @Markku, @Hazel!

I’ve called the BTA and they cannot point me to a TRT service in London. Neither can my GP. Where do I go from here?

Any help appreciated as I’m causing lots of problems to my family and friends and need to get help for the kids' sake.

@Candy I see you have had tinnitus for 3 years. Has it always been a problem? Have you habituated at any point?

 

I did not suggest Julien Cowan Hill as a TRT specialist, he does not do that, but he is a psychotherapist and he has specialised in saving tinnitus sufferers.

He has a big contribution in my salvage, I was suicidal, a basket case.

Have you tried CBT? I think might give you a more useful toolbox than TRT.

@GregCA I'm well versed in CBT, I had it even before the tinnitus started. Speaking to my old therapist tomorrow but would like to talk to someone with more tinnitus knowledge.

Julian Cowan Hill had severe tinnitus for many years, so he knows. He talks from his life experience.

 

How can you believe a word that quack Julian Cowan Hill says? I thought you had severe tinnitus?

Julian Cowan Hill is a disgusting liar who claims TINNITUS CAN BE CURED for EVERYONE.

He's a liar.

 

Well, this lie made my life turn around, and I feel grateful for that.

I will never forget that moment when I found the video "stop telling people tinnitus cannot be cured" on YouTube.

I do not want to start a polemic about this subject.

Candy put a question, I took my right to answer it, although Julian Cowan Hill does not do TRT, that's it.

We have different opinions, that's all.

The statement "there is no cure, go home and live it" is pure poison.

There were people who killed themselves when they returned home after medical "professionals" brutally told them that there is nothing that can be done and that's that, they should get used to that horrible noise.

I do not want to start a dialogue about this.

As for disgust, there are other things and people who disgust me in the field of tinnitus.

Maybe you want to talk with @RCP1, for he did TRT with Jacqui Sheldrake, as far as i know.
After he quit the forum for a long time, he posted recently in a thread, so maybe if you PM him now you can find him.

Sorry i did not have time to answer your question. I have so many problems...

The answer to your question, whether I live in London, is negative, i only landed at Heathrow on my way to US.

Because I have never visited London I felt that my answer begs some explanation as to why I defend Julian. How do I know him if I never met him? I got to know him through his videos on YouTube and a book written by him.
