For the past few days my ears keep having little pops and cracking noise and feel blocked for a few minutes.

Mostly in my left ear which I know has a lot of wax in it, but I've had the wax for months and this issue has only just started.

Also I have it in my right ear but not as much, which is clear of wax. So annoying....

From what I know, the popping and cracking is due to your eustachian tubes bringing air (or trying to bring air) up into your middle ear. Is it the type of popping that you can do intentionally when swallowing? (equalizing your ears.)

I've also read that if you have fluid in your ear those sounds can occur when bubbles pop, or from when other movement within the fluid occurs. I think it's your ears trying to work things out.
