So, we've lost our precious silence, or rather, our "quiet."
We grieve for it every day. We are bound to.
However, it is now more crucial than ever that we can reach and maintain a sense of peace.
Meditation, to some extent, can help.
At the beginning, I was floored, wrecked, sobbing, desperate, distraught, finished,
I saw no hope.
But eventually, with acceptance of the inevitable, I am no longer 'standing on the edge.'
I experimented: I found that I could still go out and meet people, converse, socialise, amuse, be amused, read, listen to music, play music, join in life once again.
The background is no longer a quiet one, of course, but I have not allowed that to restrict me.
This "thing" has landed on my plate, and there is no alternative, but to take it on board, cope with it, and win through.
I intend to emerge feeling proud of myself, content, and at peace.
We've been dealt a really tough hand, and we are proving that we can find a way through.
We all survive by finding a dash of heroism.
We all deserve that "pat on the back."
Best Wishes everybody. xx
