Basically, if you could have a choice, would you rather lose an arm and have no T, or have both your arms but have T. This is a hypothetical question used to gauge the suffering of people's T on here.

Lol, this questions never seem to end.
i have seen a few times in here, that people tend to think other conditions are nothing compared to tinnitus.
i do believe that its different for everyone.
i remember seeing the other day, that a guy in here wrote "i rather be in a wheelchair than having tinnitus"
personally i wouldnt want that. my mother was in a wheelchair for almost 30 years.
she at some point was back to being happy, productive and all.
but to be honest its hard not go to the bathroom by yourself, driving around, walking in the park, depending on someone else to even get out of bed.
im sorry i know tinnitus is painful but i believe there are worst things...

Well, it looks like you can replace your arm today:

But you can't eradicate tinnitus yet.. So I might consider losing an arm.. And looking half-cyborg sounds great too!

And seriously, I don't know. I don't know what it is to feel "phantom pain" after losing a limb so I can't tell what would be less "uncomfortable"

A lot of members like myself have more than one health problem and each problem is hard to justify which one is the worst as each one impacts on their life in some way .
Grass always seems greener on the other side not knowing what it's like seeing other people with problems.
I have to say for me its hard to say between struggling breath or noise but if I could fix one if I was given a wish it would have to be my breathing....lots of love glynis

If scientists are creating robotic arms and legs then surely it can't be much longer before T is solved

It feels like a race to the finish for the pharmacy companies because who ever is the first to solve it will get very very wealthy and I'll pay every Buck I have along with everyone in the world with T (300 million )

I remember that comment too. I posted back to that guy saying there is a
nice member here that is in a wheelchair plus has T.

But there's way more money in replacing limbs.
T sufferers are the red headed step children of the health profession..

LOL, but yeah very true, i cant believe why such a difficult condition thats has been since forever
can have at least one decent treatment with temporal relief even 5 minutes of total silence would be beautiful,
and the fact that some many people habituate and stop worrying(its beautiful and im happy for them) but it just makes impossible to claim for a cure, we need to keep pushing even if we are healed or habituating.
we need to demand for a cure and make noise together :)

At some point some perfectly brilliant person will acquire T and they will slay the beast with their own driven genius.

I'd rather lose my tinnitus, then lose any part of my body! (guess that wasn't the question, but that's my answer.)
