Kingsfan if it's by allergies then it be easier to recover from it, I'm hoping it's a cold like my uncle said, but however unfortunately my cousin grandmother lives around here and smokes outside, so I'm not sure if Eustachian Tube Dysfunction caused by this.

Had a meeting today at my work. I use jabra speaker for teamcalls. I thought it was very "annoying to my ears" and double checked the volume after like 5 minutes into the meeting and it was on 60% (i always got it on 20% on volume). Probably my coworkers borrowed it and increased the sounds and didnt tell me. Dont think that will hurt me but it is very annoying and aggrevated my ears quite alot.

They are small hobbies like going to the gym, turning on the computers, doing graphic design, and I already listen to soft music. It's a great achievement because I've been like a vegetable all this time.

I lost hearing a few days ago and it turned out to be a slight bit of fluid in the ear. Enough to cut out all high frequency hearing in one ear. It apparently doesn't take much.

I somehow managed to get myself vestibular hyperacusis or something. Nausea, vertigo and feels like my head is between a press.

I forgot to renew my Betaserc recipe. I've been without it for 3 days now and my ears are definitely worse. Louder and ears are also aching. I hope I get a new prescription soon.

i wouldnt say that sounds makes me "PANIC" the way they used to. I still spike ALOT tho and some seems to be permanent. I mostly get angry or irritated when people yell, clap their hands etc close to me that creates a spike and im like "oh crap not another spike". Its good to not get super panicky and anxiety rid but still getting the spikes is kind of the hardest thing for me to deal with since it drains my energy and make me feel like im going backwards in progress

I'm also dealing with a worsening at the moment, so I know how you're feeling.

You have to keep going, because you could still see some improvement. Remember how you felt when you first got T? You thought it would never get better, but it did.

My morse code that I had years ago is back after a new trauma. It blends with sounds like microwave, running water or A/C and it´s disgusting. Don´t know if it´s dysacusis. Talked with my wife about VAD last night. She is not totally against it, but not in the near future, we´ll see in the coming months.

What was your new trauma? I'm so sorry you're going through this. Did your original tinnitus just start out of nowhere?

@Sonia554 I was in a store and had no earplugs left, I was just below the store speakers where they say to which checkout should you go. It was very loud. Yes, my original tinnitus started out of nowhere, since I have been slowly losing hearing with no known reason. I´m in a very bad place.

Thank you Escalado! I've seen a number of videos from people who had tinnitus and now no longer do. Mine has reduced quite a bit in the last 2 months and I believe it will keep reducing until it's gone or nearly gone. I will definitely be screaming about it from the rooftops when it happens. How is yours doing?

Maybe because I'm still early into this but it's not changed really. Its weird because I can go into the bathroom or living room ( when the TV is off ) and actually feel the silence for a while. Of course, I'll take that every chance I get.

One thing is certain, and thats you not doing a disapearing act once you're adequately recovered. You're getting nearer with each passing week 😊

Didn't ever believe that Susan Shore's device would work for me. But anyway, by the time it comes out I won't be able to use it because I won't be able to hear frequencies of my most bothersome T. Out of hope. Can't sleep today.

We in Europe are possibly getting the Shore device in about 10 years the earliest if USA is getting it in like 6 years. Lol, thanks for nothing I guess.

Ive been stretching my neck and jaw alot trying to release my tension i got everywhere. Also been taking walks. My tinnitus has got from 5/10 to 7/10 with doing these things. I dont understand why. Shouldnt it get lower? I wonder if i should keep going and if im onto something here or if i should stop. Takes alot of energy having it louder. its also more loud on the side i got most tension on which is weird.

Mine spikes for the day if I do any sort of exercise, hiking/walking included.

Developed pulsatile tinnitus, every time I lay down it sounds like a washing machine in my left ear. Been feeding ChatGPT with data about my PT now and it's been giving me some reassuring feedback that it's just positional. However might be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction.

Update: The PT has subsided after multiple nasal rinsing sessions.

Might also be a variant of TTTS - Tonic Tensor Tympani Syndrome. Ive had long bouts of what you describe myself in the past, lasting for up to 6 months. It passes, eventually, every time.

I;m in a crisis now. I took the antibiotics and am really really not well at all. I'm only on my second dose and the tinnitus is through the roof. I feel feverish and shaky. I just don't feel right if you know what I mean. I'll have to stop but I'm scared strep infection will get worse. Dont know what to do. Its a holiday weekend so I'm at a loss of who to phone or what to do.

My throat feels worse than what it was before I started.

After been a stressball the entire week i went for a walk unprotected, i live in a very quiet area. there was a garden with a dog so i was force to take a "offroute", went in the forest and saw freshly cut trees along the path. When i was walking suddenly i hear a chainsaw start behind a bush only 6-10 metres away from me i didnt see the worker. I ran in panic with my fingers in my ears. Urgh it was so loud. still a stressball......

Hey I feel you and I'm sorry that happened to you, it's so hard to manage this world sometimes :/ I've had a couple of slip ups with 100% volume again for brief seconds in my ears, great stuff... Not. Some applications just default to a very loud volume for some reason, not fair. Man I know this happens to other people and they just shrug it off but for us it's way different :(

Yes. I think its some kind of PTSD that just "send us back" to where we been when we had problems

What is it with these people that have this weird urgue to shout or scream out of nowhere. We are on a meeting... Someone comes in and the person right next to me (about 50 cm away) litterally yell out "HEY DANIEL" VERY loudly. It was like getting a fistpunch of noice right into my right ear and of course i jumped and hes like "oh.... did i scare you". Now im having a spike

same, happens to me all the time especially in class when i don't have my earplugs in. People are so so loud for no reasons

Exactly my feeling! What cant they not say "oh hello Daniel" like a normal person. Why do the need to scream and shout around them... Must be a bad selfesteem thing.
