I guess it’s an improvement if I’m starting to not even monitor my t

@Slimer976 not monitoring it was my greatest step forward to habituation. You’ll soon get there. :)

Random but I have this appreciation towards the tower of terror, especially the sounds that play while dropping, gives me adrenaline

Would have usually looked into that before sudden hearing-loss :( Still could go get dropped tho! Maybe silences T?!

Sometimes When someone talks I hear their regular voice and the same one but it’s like a semitone lower, this is really concerning me.

Sounds like diplacusis, I had it for a short while after treatment for my AN. Auditory nerve inflammation could be a cause.

Remember having this to a more greater extent during a pretty bad ear infection in December of last year, hopefully this settles down soon

We all go through it. You're still early on. It's 6 months for me this week and feel I've found a reasonably stable place where I basically live the life I had before and feel ok.

I’m prone to falling into the hole of despair for a bit, but even in those moments I have to remind myself that there is hope, and that one day a cure will be found and provide relief to all of those who suffer from this condition

I feel like I have MES. It’s linked to sound deprivation, but my hearing tests came out normal could be because of conductive reasons

@Slimer976 welcome to the unlucky club! Good to have you on board. As @Rockman said, a club we don’t want to be in, but we’re (mostly) a friendly lot. So, if you need any advice or just to vent, drop a line in ‘chit chat and all that’. :)

    15. Have had some weird ear symptoms since March 28th. Exact cause is unknown but a few things I suspect are: stress, secondhand smoke from a trip to NY, TMJD, allergies/sinus issues, leftover virus from a previous ear infection, and possibly acne medication. Was an avid earbud user but never cranked the volume to unsafe levels as I was always protective with my hearing. Don’t know the exact cause but I just hope this goes away soon.
