    Pregabalin (Lyrica)

It seems people fall into subgroups. Given this is the Pregabalin thread and as we unravel more about tinnitus, I wanted to shed some light on how something related to Gabapentin doesn't seem to have any successful studies in tinnitus. Not even case studies really. It may boil down to recent...

I Developed Tinnitus from Taking Pregabalin (Lyrica)

Tinnitus is a listed side effect from lyrica. @AVIYT and myself had bad experiences with pregabalin. Some people get tinnitus as a side effect, others as a withdrawal symptom, others get it for other reasons but find lyrica amplifies it, a few find that lyrica calms it. It's a mess. Also, a few...

Tinnitus Started While I Was on Pregabalin — Now Trying to Taper

Yes. I strongly believe Pregabalin was the cause of my: tinnitus, visual snow, suicidal ideation, memory loss, insomnia for a time, weight gain. It worsened my depersonalization and anxiety by 100x. And I now feel more pains than I ever did before, although it's not as bad as many others...

Tinnitus Possibly Caused by Pregabalin — Been a Month Now

It sounds like your level of anxiety is linked to your tinnitus worsening and improvement. Pregabalin does not cause damage to the inner ear, only a few drugs do. Be careful with over the counter supplements. LipoFlavonoid has no efficacy and is essentially B vitamins, which in excess some are...

That's just to increase GABA in the brain to help with the withdrawal, but lyrica has it own withdrawal symptoms.

Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOs, TCAs, TeCAs)

Gabapentin is turning out to be the same horror story, this is not surprising as they are both gabapentinoids. I was informed pregabalin was the lesser of the two evils years ago but from what I have read and heard both drugs can cause horror stories just like Benzodiazepines.

My Tinnitus Keeps Getting Worse No Matter What I Do

Thank you, a big Hug to you as well. I had been on Pregabalin for 18 months, tapered the Pregabalin and then Clonazepam for 9 months now. Has Anyone Found Lyrica (Pregabalin) to Cause Hearing Loss Leading to Tinnitus?

I've been thinking back before the time I was diagnosed with mild hearing loss. They say it could be age related, but I am "only" 48. I remember taking 75 mg a day of Lyrica. I've read the official side effects, but I cannot find hearing loss as one of them. However, it seems like there is a...

Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOs, TCAs, TeCAs)

Indeed, Star, gabapentin seems to be less stable at low dosages, which makes it a dirtier drug. However pregabalin is more powerful, which makes it harder to taper if taken at high dosages. Gabapentin and Trazodone — Would It Help My Tinnitus / Hyperacusis If I Stopped Taking These Drugs?

I'm on Gabapentin's most powerful sister, Pregabalin. This has tinnitus as a frequent side effect (> 1%) and withdrawal symptom too. And yet, some medical doctor prescribe it to contain tinnitus. Gabapentin (Neurontin)
