Gabapentin is turning out to be the same horror story, this is not surprising as they are both gabapentinoids. I was informed pregabalin was the lesser of the two evils years ago but from what I have read and heard both drugs can cause horror stories just like Benzodiazepines.

@Jiri sorry I just read in another post that you completed the pregabalin taper at the end of last year. Has your tinnitus improved after the taper?

Why do you prefer Gabapentin? And doesn't it build tolerance whereas Pregabalin doesn't really or at least not quickly.

I've tried both gabapentin and pregabalin. Neither improved my symptoms, and both had extremely uncomfortable side effects.
