Just an update. My ringing has now gone. Just under 10 days after noise exposure. I had two sessions of acupuncture that seemed to help greatly. :)

@Madhan - where exactly did you go in VA and with who? I'm nearby and would be willing to give acupuncture another shot based on your experience.

I did acupuncture for about 8 sessions, and it did not help. Most of the time it did not affect my sound. The other times when my tinnitus was more quiet or more loud were coincidence.

Mine is noise induced and acupuncture never helped, but I have read and heard positive results when the T was caused by blow to the head. Good luck.

Accupuncture is part of tradicional Chinese medicine and takes years to learn. I went to a Chinese clinic for it.

Brian, what works for me is exercise. It doesn't lower my T, but it does help me better cope with it. I'd be interested in hearing how acupuncture works for you.

Jazzed, What are your symptoms (anxiety, depression)? Are you ok without the meds? Found anything else to help with that or with the tinnitus? I have had a session of acupuncture for the first time for the T. Don't think it helped, but have another session in about 10 days.

I looked into Intoears (NL) and its TRT. Physiotherapy is the only thing (aside of acupuncture) that does help thus far. TRT is unfortunately out of my payment options (1500 euro).

I also have used acupuncture for my T and it did not seem to help much but I did feel it helped with my tension in my neck and relieved stress.

As someone who has tried acupuncture and chiropractor with no positive effect, I'll wait for the clinical trials to come out. I mean if a bit of pressure behind the ears is all it took to alleviate tinnitus you'd think it would have been worked out a long time ago.

Definitely helps the pain. The tinnitus it doesn’t do much. Maybe a little less shrill. Helps the depression a lot, I sleep better too. Your acupuncturist needs to be from China, and you have to keep going for months to see results. I see all these people saying it does nothing after going twice.
