Struggling with Impacted Earwax, Tinnitus, and Hyperacusis: Seeking a Safe Removal Option

Facing a Tough Decision: Should I Stay or Move Due to Nearby Construction and Noise Concerns?

Hi everybody, I am facing a very agonizing dilemma: whether I should stay in the place I have lived for the past five years or move out. The possible reason for moving is that about 200 yards from me, a new building is being constructed — more specifically, a new recreation center for the...

I mean it sounds like you're struggling a lot to establish a noteworthy kinship between two treatments, by the sole virtue of Hubert Lim's role in the R&D of both. On those grounds, the suggestion that these two types of treatments might be compatible (at all) seems like quite some leap, don't...

Mid-Infrared Photons Alleviate Tinnitus by Activating the KCNQ2 Channel in the Auditory Cortex

In this study, infrared light was used on the auditory cortex, which is located in the temporal lobe. The paper mentions the use of patch-clamp testing. I’m not a scientist, but I believe this procedure requires a craniotomy.

I would go to an ENT. I trust a surgeon’s hands more. When I had an impaction removed with a curette, it definitely hurt. I think that is just part of the process. The skin inside the ear is very sensitive.

The short spoon scoop. That will make the earwax removal in your right ear more difficult. Gravity is a great thing that does half the work for you. Do not scoop anywhere near the eardrum. It is thinner than paper, and it sits about 2.5 centimeters from the entrance of the ear. You do this at...

If you read my posts, you will realize that I am advising this cannot be done in a single session. Olive oil only softens the surface of the earwax it comes into contact with. As a result, that softened wax can then be gently scraped out using a curette attached to an ear camera. After the...

Does Audizen work, or is it a scam? It is being advertised online. At first, it appears as a Dr. Oz and Vicks “trick” to cure tinnitus, which is already a red flag. ANC uses destructive interference. The offending sound waves never enter the inner ear as they are cancelled out. Note that ANC is only really good for continuous low-frequency sounds, as there is a delay for the hardware to sample, process, and output an out-of-phase wave.
