2024 US Presidential Election

Illegal migrants are modern-day slaves who are paid about half as much by their employers as citizens. When they arrive, they owe criminals for their passage and must do whatever they can to pay them. The taxpayers are forced to finance their housing, medical bills, education, health care, clothing, etc. Services to citizens have been cut to accommodate the migrants in many cities and towns. Along with this, we have migrant gangs who engage in child trafficking, importing and selling deadly drugs which have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans, and other migrant criminals who kill and rape. The borders must be closed and the illegals deported. Tom Homan is the man who will get this done as best as humanly possible.
This is mostly just generalizations and oversimplifications.

I'm not going to deny Illegal immigrants are underpaid, but let me ask this, if millions of undocumented workers get deported, who's going to fill those jobs in agriculture and the service industry when they are gone? Americans? Most Americans won't want to work those low wage jobs. These are tough labor jobs that are often marginalized by Americans. Someone needs to clean toilets and harvest produce (fruits and vegetables). Without their hard work, millions of pounds of food will go unharvested. The economy will decline. You can blame the GOP for low wages. They won't do anything to raise wages. They oppose raising the minimum wage.

Crazy part is, undocumented immigrants even have payroll and income taxes deducted from their wages. And they don't even qualify for those benefits that's funded by those taxes — Social Security, Medicare, or unemployment insurance, since they lack legal status. That's why a pathway to citizenship is needed for these people. They are doing the lord's work and I'm an atheist.

As for undocumented immigrants who commit crimes, which I seriously doubt is a large number to begin with, like how your cult leader seems to think, they can be deported. I'm totally ok with that. I just want to fix this broken immigration system. The border security bill that Trump killed months ago would have helped.
If the Democrats had held a primary and selected an experienced conservative to moderate candidate, they probably would have won. Corruption and dishonesty prevented them from doing this. Bernie Sanders is probably the least corrupt high-profile Democrat, and he got screwed royally in the last three elections. The party is now in complete shambles, and if they want to win elections in two years, they'd better change.
Huh? That's weird. You sure we were watching the same election cycle? I remember Harris trying to appeal to moderates and independents, to the point where progressives got butt hurt over it. She had prominent Republicans endorsing her. Liz Cheney went out campaignIng with her. She talked about securing the border. She talked about having the most 'lethal' military in the world. She went on record to say that she would offer a cabinet position to a Republican. I mean, her campaign was as moderate as they come.

Did all the stuff she did and said on the campaign trail just fly right past you?

worse state of affairs that there are so many uneducated, low-information voters who voted for him.
Only morons would have voted for (dumb as a box of rocks) Harris-Walz and their idiotic policies. The Democratic voters are simply sore losers. Even endorsements by Oprah & Taylor Swift couldn't help Harris as she was an incompetent presidential candidate. I heard the illegal immigrants received ten times the benefits as our Veterans who risked their life for our country.

Since you care so deeply about veterans, you must be pretty upset by Project 2025—which plans to further cut Veteran's Benefits.

The Trump effect on businesses is already starting. Here are some examples, with more to follow soon:

Target has ditched 'Happy Holidays' and brought back 'Merry Christmas' in store decorations.

Major corporations that are removing DEI policies: Walmart, Ford, Boeing, John Deere, Harley-Davidson, Black & Decker, and Caterpillar.

Remember, Trump couldn't even get the endorsement of his own Vice President (Pence) or others who worked for him during his first term. They think he is dangerous.

Coming soon in America:

I'm in the UK, I watch CNN regularly.

I can't help but compare this planned 'expulsion' of low-paid workers in the US, who uncomplainingly carry out the jobs that no one wants to do, with Brexit in the UK.

We lost a load of our workforce due to Brexit. Most weren't even illegals, just offended with the Brexit vote.

The consequence? Employers had no choice but to increase the pay for 'these jobs' to attract ANYBODY to pick food from the fields. Food on the supermarket market shelves quickly went up in price.

Employers will be compelled to raise wages to attract U.S. workers, which will, in turn, boost overall wages. Replacing workers in the service industry will likely be easier than in the agriculture sector, as visa programs already exist to support agricultural workers.

A significant cost component of goods is transportation. Trump plans to increase domestic oil drilling, which could substantially reduce transportation costs. Additionally, Americans often assess the economy based on gas prices, making lower fuel costs a notable benefit.

Trump also plans to reduce taxes, including eliminating taxes on tips and Social Security income. Revenue generated from tariffs and fair trade agreements could offset some of the costs. While certain expenses may rise, others are expected to decrease.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Border Czar Tom Homan has posted a message in the spirit of the holiday, on X:

Yeah, and Trump's tariffs are just an additional tax on American citizens, to whom those costs are passed on to, on top of all of the services and goods inflation we'll see from his deportation plan. In the past, Trump's tariffs actually increased the trade deficit before the end of Trump's term. Trump's ideas are for making America and health care worse again. He tried to disavow Project 2025 during the campaign and now has appointed one of its architects, Russell Vought, to be director of the Office of Management and Budget. Vought was a co-author of Project 2025, the controversial blueprint for a second Trump term. This should signal the direction in which he wants to take the country. His plan to cut Social Security income taxes will just make the trust fund run out even sooner. The lowest-income Social Security recipients already don't have to pay Social Security income taxes because they earn below the threshold of taxation, so this is more of a benefit for higher-income Social Security recipients, including their wealthy friends. As bad as I expected a Trump presidency to be, if these early signs are any indication, it's going to be even worse than we feared.

"Your boss" letting in 10 million plus illegal aliens into the U.S. and giving them free Medicare & Social Security benefits is what is draining the trust fund for the legal U.S. citizens. All because they want the illegals to throw off the swing states in the Democrat's favor in future elections. Tom Holman and Kristi Noem will straighten things out.

It's funny how "taxes" is such a dirty word in America, but if you just call it a "tariff," instead, people are like, "I literally don't have room for another word in my brain; do whatever you want, I guess." Do you guys think a tariff on Canada must be paid by Canada as if the United States has the ability to fine other countries when it's actually a tax on US businesses? But it's not a tax; it's a tariff! Totally different!

Trump threatening with tariffs is like the fat and stupid kid threatening to piss himself. Of course, the adults are going to try and stop it because they don't want to deal with the fallout.

A finance company's website explains, "Tariffs are strategic taxes that governments actively use as policy tools to achieve economic and political objectives." Trump wants Mexico and Canada to stop Fentanyl from coming in via illegal aliens, and his strategy is to use tariffs to motivate these countries to close their borders. If they choose to ignore the request, they will have to pay.

In another news story, Governor Greg Abbott of Texas is celebrating a legal victory. A Federal Appeals court has ruled that razor wire used in Eagle Pass to deter illegal aliens cannot be destroyed, which Biden has been responsible for doing.

You believed Trump when he said that. But illegals are not entitled to Social Security or Medicare, and they can't vote.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau landed in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Friday evening for a meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, to discuss trade, tariffs, and border security.

Donald Trump's inauguration is almost two months away, and he's already working with world leaders.

An X% tariff on Canada means that any US business or local government that imports a product from Canada would have to pay X% in taxes on that product to the federal government. Literally no one in Canada is paying anything. US businesses are paying.

Canada, Mexico and China are your three largest trading partners, and you imported $1.2 trillion dollars worth of products and raw materials from them in 2021. If you impose a 50% tariff on all imports from Canada and Mexico and another 10% tariff on China that amounts to another 400 billion dollars in taxes to the federal government paid by US businesses. They are going to have to cut costs, lower wages, fire employees and raise prices, passing the cost to you. You sure showed Canada who's boss!

In the UK, after the election, the new Prime Minister takes office immediately and the old is turfed out.

Wouldn't it be better if the US did the same?

Canada and Mexico will find out that sending Fentanyl, child traffickers, and illegal immigrants to the United States will not be tolerated. Trudeau is not taking this lightly, and I doubt that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo will, either. It is in their best interest to secure their borders. The proposed tariffs for Mexico and Canada are 25%, not 50%.

I don't think the tariffs will be necessary, but it is good that Trump has brought this up as a threat. Tariffs are certainly not the only way to take action on the border crisis; Trump and his advisers could probably come up with plenty of other solutions in addition to tariffs. Products from Canada, Mexico, and China should also be boycotted as much as possible by American citizens until they comply, but nobody has yet proposed this, as far as I know.

If anybody thinks that it is unreasonable for the citizens of the United States to demand effective border control, which would be at least as good as the way it was by the end of Trump's last term, there's not much else to say because they are living in a fantasy world. Biden is on the way out, and so are his immigration policies.

Nonetheless, it would be a big mistake to believe that Trump doesn't understand what a tariff is. Trump knows exactly what he does. If anything, it seems that Democrats don't know how tariffs work.

How do they work? US chief executives will come to Trump begging for their companies to be excluded from the tariffs, and they will have bought the Trump family's cryptocurrency tokens to make their point and line his pockets; that's how tariffs work. Read about it in the Wall Street Journal.

How does corporate America funneling money into Trump's pockets benefit the American people? Isn't this also a potential violation of the Emoluments Clause?

I have come across discussions about Trump proposing that the US should establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve by acquiring 1 million coins, approximately 5 percent of all available Bitcoin.

For context, the US Federal Reserve holds about 7 trillion dollars in assets. Acquiring 1 million Bitcoin would cost roughly 100 billion dollars at current prices. Considering that cryptocurrency is highly volatile and susceptible to market manipulation, what impact would a sudden major drop in Bitcoin's value have on the US dollar?

If Biden had bought one million Bitcoin back in December 2022, it would have been worth 650% more today.

If the American government leads in 'legitimizing' Bitcoin, it may just lead to other countries doing the same. In which case, Bitcoin could easily increase by another 650% - or even more?

Yes, importers pay the tariffs, and these costs are generally passed down to customers through higher prices. However, tariffs can also harm foreign businesses, potentially devastating their economies. These businesses may need to lay off employees or even shut down operations. Since the U.S. is often one of their main, if not primary, trading partners, the number of U.S. customers they once had decreases due to the tariffs.

Overall, the U.S. economy is strong enough to withstand these tariffs, more so than the economies of other countries. As you know, Trump has been using tariffs for reasons that are primarily unrelated to trade, at least in the cases of Mexico, Canada, and China. I suspect these tariffs will be temporary, lasting only until these countries implement certain changes. We'll have to see how he handles Europe. If NATO members do not contribute more, Trump might become furious and impose tariffs.

Tariffs also have the potential to boost domestic production. For example, in the late 1800s, the U.S. became a steel powerhouse by applying tariffs on U.K. steel, which was significantly cheaper at the time. Eventually, U.S. steel became even cheaper than U.K. steel.
Some tariffs and duties are more arbitrary, while others are directly related to trade, calculated precisely, and internationally accepted. For example, according to WTO rules, a company cannot sell a product in another country at a price below its own cost of production. In such cases, duties are applied, which importers are required to pay.

The U.S. has already imposed duties that vary widely, sometimes reaching triple-digit percentages, on numerous products from various countries. As a result, U.S. businesses often turn to domestic suppliers or seek alternatives from other countries.

Bernie Sanders agrees with Elon Musk on slashing the Pentagon budget. Sanders posted in X Sunday, "Elon Musk is right. The Pentagon, with a budget of $886 billion, just failed its seventh audit in a row. It's lost track of billions. Last year, only 13 senators voted against the Military Industrial Complex and a defense budget full of waste and fraud. That must change."

Sanders and Musk support making certain diabetes and weight loss drugs less expensive but differ on other issues.

Unsurprisingly, Joe Biden has pardoned his son Hunter for all crimes he may have committed over the past 11 years after saying that he would not do so. Hunter was scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 12. Joe Biden claims that the cases were politically motivated.

They couldn't defeat us in war, so now they aim to get rid of us by taking away our benefits. This pattern goes back hundreds of years, to when the white man stole land from Indigenous people. They lost everything too. It's just typical government nonsense.

🚨BREAKING: Elon Musk Says "America Should prioritize veterans who served our country, not illegal immigrants!"

In 2023 alone, illegal immigration cost taxpayers $150.7 billion. To put this in context with other costs (adjusted for inflation):
-World War I: $334 billion
-Apollo Space Program: $257 billion
-Manhattan Project: $30 billion
-Panama Canal: $15.2 billion
-Hoover Dam: $1 billion

In a long phone call, French President Macron pleaded with Donald Trump to attend the grand reopening of Norte Dame Cathedral, which was badly damaged in a fire five years ago. About 50 world leaders will also attend, including First Lady Jill Biden.

In other news, Trump's lawyers have asked that the judge in the "Hush Money" case, dismiss the charges, citing the pardon that Joe Biden gave his son, Hunter. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who prosecuted that case, has another high-profile trial being deliberated by a jury this week. The trial is for NYC Subway Hero Daniel Penny, a former Marine, who prevented a dangerous man, Jodan Neely, from carrying out death threats on train passengers. Neely later died in a hospital and Alvin Bragg claims that the chokehold that Penny had used, caused Neely's death. Penny's defense included a forensic pathologist who claimed that Neely died from a combination of several other causes including sickle cell crisis, schizophrenia, the struggle and restraint, and the synthetic marijuana that was in his system. Vivek Ramaswamy has donated 10 thousand dollars to Daniel Penny's legal defense.

As I have said over and over again, I will not pardon my son Hunter:

Hunter Biden could be called to testify against members of the Biden Crime family and their cronies, and not be permitted to invoke the 5th Amendment to protect himself against self-incrimination since he is now exempt from prosecution due to the far-reaching pardon that his father gave him.
