I'm getting a hearing test and having some custom earplugs made on the 9th of July. It's at an Audibel hearing center.
At the risk of sounding paranoid, is there any risk involved in either of these procedures? The plugs will cost "$60 each" (per plug or per pair, I have no idea) and the hearing test is free.
This will be the first audiogram since before my tinnitus worsened. I have TTTS combined with Miso/Phonophobia, which may be progressing into hyperacusis.
The lady at the desk said the test is not very loud, but I just want to be sure.

Well, according to my doc it's ok, but you also need to consider your diet. NAC, L-Arginine, algae oil (omega 3), and multivitamins are fine and dandy on a daily basis. Magnesium depends. If you eat a lot of greens, it is not necessary, but I only take it for special occasions like going to the dentist or audiogram test just to be sure.
