Can a Pill Fix Your Hearing? Biotech Advances on the Horizon

I cant wait. I want the tinnitus gone and the hearing to improve . . this article is optimistic . now I could wait happily if these statements were true. it does give me hope . Maybe relief is only 5 years away . let's hope these companies find that "MAGIC PILL" . Id certainly pay an arm and both legs for the magic pill or treatment.

Be careful with your hopes?

I have to sadly agree. They can't even cure baldness with "hairs", and that seems like it would be a whole lot easier to fix than these ear hairs. I can't see them figuring out these ear hairs as far as a competent working treatment anytime soon, likely for a very long time.

But I sure hope my two-bit prediction is completely wrong.

Well, they actually foind way of fixing and thats through use of stem cells. they shoot them over the areas + some other minerals and hair grows back up. this is not an experimental, but rather "in practice" procedure as we speak.

Well, that sounds like excellent news. I'm not even sure my type of tinnitus, from gun noise, can be repaired in this manner, but I will check that out.

Since you have damaged hair cells - growing them back will help, sensory cells in ear (cochlea) are not the same as hair on head ))))

You have "typical" noise induced hearing loss (even if it is not detectable) and it basically one of simplest cases, when cure comes out - that would be one of the first fixed
