Tinnitus Since
1/1995
Cause of Tinnitus
Noise
Hearing a permanent loud hiss.
there are times when I feel:

Angry, Furious, Sad, Despairing, Exhausted,
Not too bothered, It's just there, Almost okay...

and all within the same day.
Is that odd to you folks.......?

PS - one emotion I failed to mention,
"SEVERLY PISSED OFF !!!!!"

Not at all, sounds very familiar. I have these variations within the same day but also one feeling a day or week at a time. How do I cope with that? I don't unfortunately, wish I could help. You are not alone. Goodluck.

Cheers @"Thereisnogod.
I love your name, by the way.
And when we suffer with all this "SHIT !!!"
we are not the slightest bit likely to believe,
are we.....?

Tinnitus is sure an emotional ride but fight and push hard to stay happy and keep the low mood at bay....

I often have the same range of feelings. It sometimes startles me how my thoughts bounce between absolute despair to indifference. Seeing a CBT therapist has helped me recognize that it is okay to have that range of emotions, it is normal for someone learning to cope with a chronic health condition.

If anything those mixed feelings are a good sign. I spent the first few months with predominantly negative thoughts. I'll gladly take the mix now and hope for a day when the pendulum swings more toward acceptance and indifference.

Tinnitus is an emotional rollercoaster but with more ups and downs than this! Sometimes when my tinnitus is not 'giving me too much grief', I forget, temporarily, how bad it can be. And also vice versa.. when it is bad, I also forget, there are times when 'it is less bothersome'. There are times when I think my tinnitus is not so bad at all, and there are other times when I despise it. I think I've been through all the emotions, it's like a continuous cycle of up and downs. The fact there are times when I do forget about it (or not let it bother me) is only a good thing but I've not managed to do this consistently yet. I just take the 'not so bad days' as they come and ride out the really bad ones. With them comes every emotion.
