Does Having Sex Normally Increase Tinnitus Intensity?

Recently, I was listening to some relaxation music that included background multi-frequency sounds.
The music was not loud. I was also engaged in sexual activity during the listening time (orgasm).
Afterwards, my tinnitus increased in loudness. Now when I engage in sexual activity sometimes it makes the tinnitus louder. This just recently started. Does sex normally increase tinnitus intensity for a few people, some people, or most people?

 

Actually for me...it helps.

 

It doesn't make a difference to mine however it makes me a lot relaxed and anything that helps me relax is a good thing especially if it something fun

 

I'm presently having a louder tinnitus from having sex about 2 1/2 days ago. This is the first time I've had this experience. I'll keep you folks informed over the next few days. I'm just concerned because the tinnitus has not yet diminished, and it could become a disincentive for having sex.

It depends on whether I was on top or on the bottom......

 

in my case, it does but it only lasts during the actual sex...after, it settles down..

 

Too much goin on too pay attention to the T lol... But no it doesnt spike mine up.

My problem is not if it gets louder... my problem is how to get in the mood with a drone and a whistle in your head! That's my biggest problem!

 

I've never had a problem with loud sex.

 

Does the spike start immediately after sex?

 

My tinnitus intensifies after sex but it usually goes back to the normal annoying pitch after a while... I think it's from the blood pressure in your head from having sex.

 

As opposed to having sex abnormally?

It doesn't change my tinnitus at all for good or bad... BUT, I do not think about tinnitus or hear it during...

My neighbor said gay sex is so damn natural. At least I tease him about that, but he doesn't like it. I think he has some tinnitus from farm machinery.

 

Please tell me that the last sentence isn't related to the first two.

 

The first two are humor. Last one is true only I'm much worse than him. I had used a very noisy loud shrill vacuvator that more than likely damaged my ears. Also airplane barotrauma probably caused damage in left ear. All hindsight of course.

Yes for me during it my tinnitus will be higher, but just like everyone else I think that's because of the increase in blood pressure and heart rate. On the flip the side I've also had someone scream really close to my ear during sex and this definitely spiked me for a few days. Just watch your position so that doesn't happen and make sure you relax and have some water afterwards to lower your heart rate back down
