I've been using just basic foam earplugs but want something more low profile that are very difficult to see I am wearing anything.

I would prefer that they are disposable but if such a thing doesn't exist then I am willing to buy ones that are reusable.

I also would like something that slips in easier as the foam ear plugs I have to compress it as much as possible to get them into my ears.

It would be nice if I could just slip them in and only take about 5-10 seconds.

Hello @Dankmemes ,

I use a blend of ear plugs depending on the situation.

For discrete ear plugs I use Downbeats. They are hardly visible and very small. The come in a keychain type container which is nice to carry around with you at all times. The downside is that they are 18-20 NRR IIRC so they can't be used in extremely loud situations.

Another good alternative is Decibullz, which has an NRR rating of 31 and look like bluetooth ear plugs so people won't know you are wearing hearing protection. Also, I can suggest looking into ear muffs.

Don't use foam if you want something that is easy to insert. Get reusable musician's earplugs. They don't cover up as much volume but they can fit into your ear more easily and sounds are a bit more natural.
