Every time I put my ear on my pillow I can hear my heartbeat, otherwise I do not hear it. I don’t hear it when I’m lying down unless my ear is directly on my pillow. My doctor said not to worry, but I am quite concerned given all the underlying issues I’ve researched.

I’m not sure if I have had this my entire life or if I’ve just noticed it.

      Does anyone experience this?

I really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

      Hi @presly.

I have pulsing 24/7 so had to ask a few family members (3). All of them said they hear their heartbeat when their head is on the pillow. I think what you are experiencing is considered normal.

However, if it is affecting your mental health, maybe ask your doctor to make a referral to the appropriate specialist.
