I want to be a doctor.

(I got my tinnitus 2 years ago and life is pretty good now. I don't wear earplugs on the bus, I go to eat in school and in the canteen it is maybe (85 dB) and it has no effect on my tinnitus.)

So it looks like my ears are starting to get used to louder sounds every year.

So my future plan is to become a doctor. I am only a little scared if my ears will be able to handle all the loud noises on the education.

I feel pretty sad right now. If I can't be a doctor I have no idea what I would do.

I think you can. Perhaps you can tour a university you want and poke your head in on some classes to see how loud they get?

A tinnitus-aware doctor? That sounds lovely! :) Go for it!

I'm not sure what "sounds of education" you refer to. I don't think medical training includes especially noisy parts. Except the parties, but that's not specific to med school. :)

Please give some examples. Are you talking about the students talking loudly before their lecture begins? What else is there?

That is not loud. For example doctors visit the morgue and cut the bodies using all kind of equipment's.

Be prepared to spend over 250k on tuition, sleepless nights, crazy work hours, lawsuits, and a crazy work environment. If you love it, it's totally worth it.

My siblings are mostly doctors and is the reason why I do financing instead

This happens in one course, right? I believe you will be able to explain your situation to the professor and step out whenever the bone saw is being used. It is my understanding that the students also have to do some dissection, but that it is usually done in groups. In that case, again you will be able to step out while the people in your group operate the bone saw.

I think you don't need to worry about it. Most likely you will be able to manage.

It is ridiculous that medical interns in North America are forced to work 36 hour shifts. I think this sleep deprivation puts patients' lives in danger. But why would one care about $250K in tuition, when a doctor's annual (gross) salary is likely to be close to that figure?
