Hans one question: once they add the second set of timings, are you free to revert back to the first set later on if you want to, or does this have to be done in Dublin?

Those that benefit from Lenire, do they mostly have subjective tinnitus or somatic tinnitus? Anybody that knows the answer to this question?

Attach cable, click two buttons. Boom 250 Euros + flights + accommodation + Dublin transportation + lost days at work. They really are people lovers!

Yes, it is very frustrating. I have asked numerous times for them to help me remotely but they have told me it's not possible. I don't understand why it isn't possible. I paid in full, like many, on my first visit. This was supposed to cover my two follow-up appointments, neither of which I have been able to attend due to the coronavirus.

While I understand it's an unexpected event, I would still expect them to try to accommodate by allowing virtual appointments and updates. Countries are on lockdown for crying out loud, and each time I email Neuromod I get the same response. It's so frustrating. If colleges can administer classes online, Neuromod should be able to assist in remote updates.

Sorry about the mini-rant. I am just very disappointed that I spent over 2 grand on a device and I can't even get a hardware update or setting adjustment for who knows how long. I personally won't feel comfortable flying for a long time.

I'm in the same boat. I almost look at it like a blessing. I mean if you look at the posts, I think there was maybe 1 that claimed much positive response from that change. Right now due to a sudden evacuation from Indonesia to my homeland of America, I kind of had a natural pause in use at ~8.5 weeks. Now that I am home I am stretching it out a few more days, trying to take a week off. It appears some of the argument for switching settings has to do to habituation to a given setting. Maybe taking the week off will de-habituate me a bit. Plus think of all the cash saved by not going back and forth two more times.

It is absolutely possible! The reason it is "not possible" is the same reason why they can't give you the device first time you go there. It's the same reason they won't send you the device after the initial assessment but you have to travel there. They are... I don't know how to write it and not be kicked out from this forum.

Wonder if we ever see the results of their study.

      Neuromod is frustrating and useless.

Would be interested in seeing the paperwork they have you sign before taking possession of this device since I have to assume there are indemnification clauses up the wazoo. Point being that there are liabilities involved in letting people upgrade themselves, just as much as there are liabilities with the device making your tinnitus worse as we've seen.

The contract is not out of the ordinary. I understand your concern. However, I believe that time and money is best spent on finding a treatment for tinnitus. Not in the courts of law. That’s the wrong focus. Besides, it is fruitless to legally challenge a statement about an ailment that science still is unable to measure objectively.

If Neuromod started with Lenire about a year ago they must have served 1000+ people? If so why only handful shared their experience with us?

On the other hand people like to complain and I don't see complaints coming from new users that created their accounts just to share their bad experience. That is a good sign, isn't it.

I asked Neuromod about Lenire users' feedback. They emailed me back but totally ignored my question... I didn"t appreciate that.

The end of April is not too far away and we should be publishing the report on Lenire efficacy soon.

Unfortunately we are seeing a lowering in survey response rates, no doubt due to the coronavirus pandemic occupying peoples attention.

We will get the most out of this study if we get a good response rate.

So, if you have signed up and your surveys are due, please take a moment to complete your surveys!

I was considering doing the same.

Can you share what they said?

HAHA I can relate. Almost every e-mail I've ever sent asking for information gets the actual question totally glanced over.

Sorry I don’t come on here that often anymore.

My reactive tinnitus has done very well, I’m happy to report. I still hear my tinnitus all day long but it mostly bothers me in the morning, but no where near how it did all last year. During the day my tinnitus sounds like a faint hiss and seems 75% lower to what it was. I went from thinking about it every five minutes (all of 2019) to maybe noticing it 5-6 times a day. I think the pink noise at night really helps (even though it made it more reactive in the beginning), so does not talking about it and coming on the forum and reading horror stories. Best of luck, I know it can be a real biatch...

I really appreciate the reply. It's been as you say, a real biatch. Mine is really loud and can't go a second without thinking about it. Something is really wrong with my hearing. Thank you for some hope.

I think Lenire is still your best shot, mates.

I don't regret going to Dublin.

I'm thinking of postponing my March 1st appointment even though Ryanair still seems to fly from Hamburg.

How are things in Ireland guys? Is everything closed?

Would you fly with FFP1 masks?

      Cheers!

I think we've all given up on Lenire.

Now the excitement has died down for people with moderate/bad tinnitus.

Even people on program 1 settings are not sure if it has altered their lives in a measured way.

Let's hope there will be a Lenire v2 with remote access and more focused treatment parameters. One that becomes an effective treatment for people with bothersome tinnitus.

Those are fighting words for the die-hards. The discussion has died back in part because a) the official Tinnitus Talk report is less than a month away and b) the pandemic makes it impossible to fly to Ireland anyway.

I'd also like to know if that conference Tinnitus Talk was going to go to is still on or not. I would think not, which will just push off the day of reckoning where Neuromod has to explain the poor testimonials here.
