What makes you think it's easy to get rid of tinnitus?

Let's say one has noise-induced tinnitus, how do you suggest they get rid of it?

      Welcome aboard :) ,

Thanks for hearty welcome :) !!

If we can know whats the main cause of your tinnitus likely what exactly happening in your ear. We can gradually stop all sounds and get relief from tinnitus. Though researches say there is no correct treatment for Tinnitus - I do say treatment given in a natural way actually works.

      Who's "we"?

      Do you represent some company?

Can you divulge more information, what sort of natural treatments are you talking about?

You are being very vague. People are always interested in tinnitus treatments, but as long as you don't shed more light on what you offer, everybody should remain cautious and somewhat skeptical.

You know the most common cause of tinnitus is acoustic trauma. So, what can you do for that?

What if someone's gotten tinnitus taking ototoxic medications? What's up your sleeves for these people?

As per my knowledge - Acoustic Trauma mostly heals on its own varying ob body immunity other alternatives are popping can be done. In sever conditions - Patient Should avoid noisy surrounding as possible as he can. Then suggesting formal habituation therapy is the best. This is completely safe without having any side effects. Use Noise Masker while treating (if those maskers are increasing your tinnitus you can leav them). Being confident and remembering that " No Over Nite Results" is must.

Then coming to ototoxic medications - First of stop taking any kinda drugs when tinnitus is seen. This type of tinnitus is temporary and rarely permanent . So If medication is compalsary - tinnitus goes away after stopping taking drugs. Sometimes it happens to see permanent rarely. As per knowing this cannot be cured.

Also suggest to taking Vitamin E and vitamin B(b21,b6,b12) which improves vascular and circulation.
And also vitamin c (this is good at fighting with ear infections)

      Thanks

I've been doing all of those things for three years, and my tinnitus is not cured, Avi!

Mine first started from loud sound; it didn't go away on its own. Then, three years ago, my tinnitus got worse after exposure to an ototoxic drug. I immediately stopped taking the drug; three years later, I still have the tinnitus. Also, I've been taking all the vitamins you mentioned --- no change.

Sorry; I don't think a cure is that simple!!

I agree; I feel pretty sure I have permanent tinnitus.

The ototoxic drug (s) I used: First, Lisinopril; then, Propranolol; then, Toprol XL. Also, hydrochlorothiazide, but I don't think that is ototoxic.

Also, I don't think medical professionals should ever tell people their tinnitus is permanent, and that there is no cure. That gives us no hope! Instead, I would suggest ways to cope with the tinnitus as it is.

I would disagree that getting rid of tinnitus is easy. If it is temporary then, yes, it goes away on it's own. Sometimes temporary T still needs several months to resolve itself, for example, after coming off of a anti-depressant or some other ototoxic med that may have caused the temporary ringing. But it is a small percentage of T suffers who know the exact cause of their T and get rid of it. There are many causes of Tinnitus and many types. You perhaps had a mild, temporary ringing that would have resolved itself anyway. That can be far different then someone who has severe tinnitus because of hearing damage.

Millions of people have tinnitus and do not know the exact cause of their T, so getting rid of it is not easy, finding answers is not easy and getting support from doctors who really knows about this condition is not easy. If it were, we would not be on TT posting our own testing methods and results, support techniques and tips and research papers we find from the scientific community. For a majority of us, T is here for the time being and we need to stay informed and hopeful that one day it will not but that is by no means an easy task.

This is good news....create inner ear from stem cells

Echo all of the above, if it was so easy none of us would be here. The fact that we are is because we have been researching what can be done, and we have all tried an awful lot of things. Most of us have looked at a large portion of what exists out there to try and relieve the symptoms.

You say that you have been involved in many books, I take it that in these books you have outlined your easy methods for getting rid of tinnitus? If so please signpost us to them. I imagine that you have literature or papers to back up your claims, or a theory, as we would expect any medical professional to?

And permanent tinnitus is a diagnosis from a real lack of understanding. The fact is that we don't fully understand the causes and mechanisms so it is impossible to say if it is permanent or curable.
