Cause of Tinnitus
A very terrible sneeze
Hi intro forum! I was going to put this under Support but I figured since I am new I'd put it here. Just gonna do a little awkward venting...

So since December I've been going to see my local drs/nurses at my surgery for my tinnitus. Yes I am a person that likes to leave things late, such a bad habit... anyway, they did all they could to help by removing a load of wax (with earbuds...) but the tinnitus is still there, sigh.

Also happened to have an infection due to redness (caused by the earbuds?) in which I was given an spray 'Otomize' that I used for a week from 29th January along with pills. And last Friday the nurse I went to see said the infection had cleared up - surely I should have been happy to hear that? No, not really. :(

I am going to book a sixth appointment for tomorrow or the day after. This will be the 6th. I hate having any pills, so if my dr tries to give me more I'm afraid I am going to say no. I don't want to go on antidepressants. :/

What makes me so cross about the tinnitus is because I believe I could have prevented it. All I did was sneeze in my shower one morning and bam 5+ months worth of ringing in my ear. So I am just going to keep hoping that it will go sometime soon and try to become more positive about it. Funnily early in 2015 I did a little research on this, and Chris Martin was the first celebrity I found out had it.. so now I kinda know how he feels! Jee, so this is what life's supposed to be like with tinnitus :/

Staying positive may not cure T but definitely will help calm the nerves. Stress and anxiety are bad for T. So do your best to stay positive. Chris Martin like many singers and musicians have T because they have exposed themselves to loud music for all these years. If you google 'celebrities with tinnitus', it will be a long list of famous names.

Hi there thanks for talking to me. :) I can't believe the time between getting it and now has gone by so fast. It's been such a gloomy half year. :(

It's only ever stayed permanently in my right ear. However 3 weeks ago during a night it moved into my left ear and I couldn't believe it did that, and has happened a lot from then.

I've decided not to visit my dr today and I probably won't go tomorrow because I very much think he can't do any more for it. Getting sick of going there as well.
