How convenient. Very similar to Dr. Shemesh’s tinnitus pills then. No proof and no acknowledgement by the wider medical community. Be very careful. He could easily have his work published in a medical journal; share what he has discovered with the rest of the world, and let others test it. However, just like the known scammer, Dr Shemesh, he has chosen not to and it begs the question why?

For example, type Will McLean or any other known researcher into here and watch all their papers pop up:

Type in Min Bo Shim or Minbo Shim and there’s nothing at all.

The more you talk about him the dodgier he sounds in my opinion. If PRP interests you, then why not go to someone who is reputable in this area of medicine?

I honestly have good intentions towards you. I feel like we’re a big family here and I don’t want to see you potentially get screwed over. I’m raising my concerns but you can freely ignore them. The decision is yours.

He talked about Tinnitus Talk on his English website because that's where we found him and we kept pestering him by email. I also encouraged him to make an account here so that he can answer questions and prove himself.

 

Where’s all his research? Type his name into pubmed and he’s nowhere to be seen. No preclinical stuff or anything. I can’t find him on any directory I’ve tried.

Use any other known researcher and look at the difference. I edited my post above to include this but I figured you may have missed it.

 

BTA and ATA could do their due diligence as the authorities on tinnitus and investigate Mimbo Shim, and let people know, this is a scam, or this is what we've all been looking for, sweet relief from this torture.

But that would require actual work that isn't a 30 minute podcast, and stop the $ flowing into TRT and hearing aid scams. After all, "it just fades!" as they said.

Sorry but they're pushing us into the hands of desperate medical alternatives.

i don't blame John Adams one bit for taking matter into his own hands. ENTs disregard us as a nuisance, audiologists treat us like their selling us prescription glasses, and the ATA just downplays this insanity as minor annoyance.

We're sick of it and sick of this bullcrap condition that has ruined our lives.

They don't even talk about Frequency/Decibel or Neuromod or any other cutting edge potential therapies to at least give us hope, have you seen their social media page? Just recently after that PR dumpster fire ATA went on the defensive. I MEAN WOW.

100% conspiracy, not of the evil Illuminati kind, just the greedy bureaucratic kind.

I do have some caution about Mimbo but he seems to be the real deal and at least John Adams will be doing more than those bureaucrats, travelling on his own dime and he assures us he'll report here.

That's an honorable sacrifice.

And not to downplay the good people who run Tinnitus Talk, they all do amazing and incredible work.

 

I’m just trying to watch John’s back and only want the best for him and everyone else with tinnitus. If he wants to go then I can’t stop him, but at the same time, I don’t think it would be right if I didn’t flag my concerns. There is literally no information on this guy other than what comes from him (which isn’t ideal) and it means you have to put faith in him being legit based entirely off his own evidence (which is only published on his website).

The guy could literally be injecting his own piss into your ears for all you know.

Again, I only have good intentions, but I’ll kindly fuck off now as I’ve nothing more to add.

@Ed209 I agree with you and it's nice of you to be watching our backs here! I'm also pretty desperate and habituation does not seem to be coming my way after 2 years.

 

I've got 6-8 weeks to get my passport anyway. If you're watching my back then why don't you help me/us investigate this clinic/method? I'm willing to guinea pig myself for the betterment of us all. Maybe provoke the BTA to look into this as well? Why can't they find a Korean and fly over there and investigate? Minbo Shim could become world famous if he is legitimate. Is this not worth putting boots on the ground? There isn't enough evidence to call him a fraud, likewise there isn't enough evidence to declare him a success either. Shouldn't we be digging into this? It's not like tinnitus isn't Hell ya know.

I trust him. But I have 6-8 weeks to get a passport. Time to start pressuring our "advocates" at the ATA and BTA to quit being flaccid. I'm about to sacrifice my flesh and life for this. I have a family that needs me. Fucking tinnitus has driven me to desperation. I'm also not uneducated. ENGAGE TINNITUS COMMUNITY NOW.

Not really on topic but I'm sure you've seen the thread, have you considered StemCells21? Around 2-3 people have reported positive results, and they don't poke a hole in your ear either. None of the peoples tinnitus went away completely but from what I read they saw around 30 - 50% in improvements within the first few months.

It just seems like a bit safer option before going to this sketchy guy imo, but it's also wayyyy more expensive.

 

It 30gs lol. fuck I wish i was loaded. To me, having intratympanic injections is scary but also a better chance at the drug working

 

I agree man, it's only for the desperate. If my T was 10/10 and as bad as some people say theirs is, I would still choose to drop 30 grand/spend the rest of my life in debt, even for just 30-50% relief.

edit: that gets me wondering too, what if they did their treatment WITH intravenous injections

Dude, I am legitimately excited. If this is a success, then it will help a lot of people. If this is a success, you would have saved many from despair.

It just sucks I don't have the money right now. I would be flying to South Korea in a heartbeat after a report of success.
