As much as we disagree, fight, and jab at each other I do hope you are not serious. I understand very little of your situation, but from what I do know it is on and off pain? Please please please see as many doctors as you can about this. Please try to get a second opinion or see another specialist.

I would also advise you post about your situation and illness in the support sub forum and maybe someone will be able to help you. They may know how to help or dealt with something similar or exactly the same.

I really do hope you don’t follow through and get help. I wish I knew what illness you had so I could try to help you. Please get a second opinion, maybe tell the doctor you are suicidal because of it and he may take it more seriously and do what needs to be done for you.

 

Are you using the contact info on the FDA website? Would a letter writing campaign accomplish anything?

 

I am using her FDA email which I was able to Google (couldn't find it on the site).

As to your second question, I believe if it was anyone but Dr. Woodcock, probably not but she seems very passionate about FDA reform, including earlier access for conditions with high mortality *or* morbidity. I think it would help for her to have more stories as to just how debilitating tinnitus, hyperacusis and distortions are.

What if MPP created an investment account and MPP users gave a small amount of money to said account.

We could then use @JohnAdams's ”Christian Science” to help us invest in stocks.

The reason we use “Christian Science” and not regular science is that we are gonna need some extra magic/luck that regular science doesn’t have.

Over time we will increase our investment. We then cash out when it is over 1 million and then we give that money to tinnitus research!

Foolproof plan.

I really really don't want you to do this. Perhaps it's selfish because when I first had my hearing loss, your posts on synaptopathy were invaluable to me. Between that and your take down of scammers, I can't even imagine how many people you have helped. You matter a lot more than maybe you realize. Or maybe you do realize and it's just too hard. No judgment if that's the case, but death is so final and there are probably things you haven't tried yet because you are suffering and tired. But sometimes pain *does* get better, even severe pain. I'm not one for baseless positivity and work around brain/mood hacks so i mean actual improvement.

If you want someone to read papers about your condition with, I would be happy to try to help.

 

Help is CBT, ACT and the neuropsychological model of pain resilience.

 

Dude just tell us what your dealing with. Don’t be vague, just straight up give us the medical name. Idk why you are being so secretive about this.
