I've talked to the researchers and developers, guess what? They are doing just fine they don't need to be bothered with the work of the holy grail-regenerating hearing and curing tinnitus-their ears are working just fine thank you, no need to go saving the world, their paycheck is coming, they are doing just fine thank you. The status quo is working, no need to change a thing.

They think it's coming from my brain when clearly there is a bird noise only in my right ear.

Say you cut off your hand then go to your doctor and say look it hurts! But he tells you actually the pain is in your brain not in your hand, and there's nothing he can do because he's not a brain Doctor, lol. That's where we are RIGHT NOW. "Yes your Hand is missing but the pain is in your brain silly".

I said the ringing is "in your brain" stupid! Lol it's actually in my ear.

So convenient to have "brain ringing" because then the status quo goes on and ENT's and otologist don't have to lift a finger about Tinnitus because they aren't Brain doctors.

Come to Colorado if you like herb. Grow your own and make edibles. Great for sleep. There are more dispensaries than liquor stores in Denver and probably all of Co.

15 years ago in front of all those ear specialists, when one made hypothesis that damages linked to hidden hearing loss and tinnitus could be located in the spiral ganglions zone, 100% of them were shouting as if they heard blasphemy against their religion of consensus. One even told me with a sneering laugh : "audiograms are ok, i don't care about the inner ear, the waterfall you hear is common, and for your speech in noise comprehension problem, read on lips".

I would love a waterfall, but I've got a birdy in my right ear, he's very noisy. Hearing aid maskers save lives.

Like I said maybe in 100 years. No chance anytime soon. We are possibly more confused than back then, at least then they understood (common sense) that ringing was in the ears more than the fucking brain.

2023. We will have restored some kind of hearing in a human. My buddy who is a chemical engineer cares about his work and healing people. He works for a cancer research company in Raleigh North Carolina. Usually when you work in Labs you do not get paid very much. People that go into that line of work do it because they care

This has been out awhile now and I haven't heard much since,as with all things Stemcell related it creates miracles only for it to disappear soon after.

Maybe others might have more info than I,but the last I heard about this was from Kyoto University and Dr.Rivolta at Sheffield University.
I emailed Dr.Rivolta and he's sadly off until the 5th of January so hopefully might know more then.

here is my conversation with Professor Marcelo.

first i asked if stem cells could work for tinnitus, hidden hearing loss & menieres....

when i asked him how the vestibular project was going 2 months later from my first message...

i think there are reasons for us to be excited, the guy is a genius and also seems to have a great heart.
lets hope for a very positive outcome for tinnitus and menieres

If there is a participant for Meniere maybe there could be a participant for Hyperacousis or tinnitus or hearing loss ??? How did it happen for Meniere ?

Surface transplantation is just that, they place the Stemcells"on"the damaged area more specifically the glial scars and the Stemcells sink into them and begin the repair process.

Before they were injecting the cells directly into the damaged organ and nothing was happening, all the cells would just simply die and no regeneration would occur.

The glial scars were once thought to be a huge obstacle for regeneration but luckily they're the very thing needed to for the Stemcells to initiate repair.

Look at it this way, let's say you lose a row of outer haircells, after these haircells die they are replaced by glial scars which is basically neuro scar in laymans terms.
Now if we wanted to regenerate haircells with Stemcells it was once thought that the cells would have to be injected into this scar for regeneration to occur, thanks to this discovery we learned that this is not the case and the process is actually much simpler than that.

All we have to do is inject cells into the cochlea and if they just land on this scar then regeneration will occur, the cells trigger a repair response thanks to the signals given to them by the glial scars.

This is great news because if we had to inject directly into the cochlea that would make this task a whole lot harder,we simply can't open up a cochlea and find the damage and inject Stemcells there,it simply will never happen as it's just too delicate and easily damaged.People often forget that the cochlea is only the size of a pea or a once cent(euro)coin.

So I supposed I'm confused. Have they done this to an actual human? If so, why not push this concept.

Done what? If you mean injecting stem cells directly into the middle ear, then yes I'm pretty sure they have done that, but I'm not sure what the results are. In the "haircell regeneration" thread, NT-3 get's mentioned a lot. Apparently it is fundamental in nerve regeneration in the middle ear. However a study has shown, that injecting a virus that excretes NT-3 into the middle ear, resulted in overall hearing loss, not repair. Not sure why they chose a "virus" that excretes NT-3 over NT-3 itself, but they must have had their reasons. They concluded that they need to specifically target the synapses, and not the general areas around them. My personal takeaway from this is that they need to find a way to make the virus specifically only target the synapses in the middle ear with NT-3, and that by the time they do this, it may easily be delivered orally rather than injections into the middle ear. It may even be through avoiding injections in the middle ear that they are able to restore hearing, without further damaging it.

Because if you think tinnitus is bad, well then If you had Menieres you'd either kill yourself or summon some unknown strength as your forced to overcome true true true hell my friend.

Thing is that apparently Meniere comes from a virus. So if the virus is still active I hope it won't kill the stem cells of if the damage are repaired it won't damage again....
I'd day there are better chances for that to work for the three others conditions.

Sounds like I'm jealous a bit haha but I hope they won't give up if that doesn't work :) Because Meniere seems not really related to the others

Your hair cells aren't damaged, they are irritated by increased pressure from your ear osmolality. Once you relieve the pressure then your hair cells will stop sending tinnitus sounds and you'll be cured. In fact cochlear hydrops without vertigo is likely the cause of your tinnitus. An overall healthy lifestyle with extra hydration will relieve you of the increased water pressure called hydrops and you ears will be back to normal, however if you would rather believe that menieres hydrops and tinnitus aren't related and then I guess you can continue to think that your hair cells are permanently damaged and continue to feel hopeless.

I'm not that sure I have hydrops because my symptoms increases when they are a lot of sound especially the hyperacusis and the distortions, and they decrease if I stay in silence for a while... At night it's worse like just scratching my head will increase the tinnitus for like 30 seconds.

Also after a night of heavy alcohol drinking my tinnitus is still the same in the morning....

I do have z whooshing sound in my left ear when I put my head down or when I'm in certain positions in bed that the only thing that could make me think of hydrops.

I'll try the extra water thing though can't hurt :)

What could possibly be wooshing besides water? How could your tinnitus possibly get louder and softer without a similarly fluctuating source. It's the water pressure and ear osmolality. If you simply had fried your hair cells your tinnitus would be static and unchanging! But it does change, your hair cells are still working correctly they are sending correct messages that you are undergoing something which irritates them! You can be cured. The classic hydrops tinnitus sounds like low pitched roaring or woodhing along with high pitched fluctuating tinnitus (like the sound of a shower running or air escaping a tight hole causing a sort of dog whistle noise) the tinnitus with hydrops is so bad, but it also can be reversed.

But do you also have lots of distortions and tones on top of other sounds like white noise or cars ? And also hyperacousis in a sense that some frequencies are heard louder than other ?

How can I be cured ? I'm having quite a healthy diet, with junk food like once a week otherwise salads and stuff. I eat quite some sugar though.

Drink a gallon of water per day for 7 days. Get good clean water, filter it if you have to. Seriously drinking a gallon of water per day cured me. And YES I heard a loud bird chirping in my right ear my hearing was muffled in my left ear. Muffled hearing and the feeling of ear fullness are also classic symptoms. I heard crickets and a bird and high pitches tones in my left ear and I had hyperacusis whenever I heard the tv or driving on the highway, the noises were all competeing and I couldn't even drink water! But that's what you need to do, drink a gallon of water per day, this will help your ears regain control over ear osmolality and homeostasis.

@Ian Mac - why don't they routinely test people for hydrops, they just send you home to get used to it...unbelievable. Yet several people have hydrops...
Quick question - Have you tried any treatment other than the November procedure that you didn't feel like recommending?
      How are you these days?
