Sorry, bad sense of humour (if you can call it that). Some people decide to say the ‘U.K’ whereas I prefer to use ‘England’.

 

It is. I don't see why he would say that. "I live in California not the US" ツ

Just being specific.

 

Maybe if somebody’s not too sure where the place is.. It rules out it being in Scotland or Wales!

I prefer when people say which part of the U.K. they are from, and not just use the generic letters.

 

If people are looking for a more precise location, I find saying the U.K quite vague. Unless maybe I am naming one of the big city’s, like for instance the capital London, Manchester or maybe even Bristol! But if it’s a place nobody’s ever heard off, they won’t know if it’s in England, Scotland or Wales. Just my view!

That’s what I thought. I think sometimes my ‘tinnitus’ makes my sense of humour sound a little misguided at times. Nah, I can’t blame T on everything! I’m gunna try and get some sleep and hopefully not wake up to blaring T;-) fat chance ..........

I know I will wake up to noise of course, so I now prepare myself before falling asleep.

It might help in warding off disappointment?

Nothing wrong with this method @Jazzer. If talking to yourself helps you deal with this, then I don’t think anybody would be judging you. I think sometimes you need to experiment with different techniques, no matter how extreme they may seem.

 

Florida in the United States. They call us the sunshine state because it's hot and humid year round. We are one of the world's or the world's largest supplies of citrus. Sadly hurricane Irma killed a huge percentage of the crop this year. But that won't stop me from loving my Clementine's and Lemons!!!

I was born in Ibiza, but I’ve lived all my life in Mallorca, the biggest of the 5 islands of the Balearic archipelago. We are part of Spain (rather be independent), we have our own language (Catalan) and by culture we feel very close to Catalonia. So, if I’m asked, I say I’m a Mallorcan native and my first language is catalan, although my passport is Spanish.

 

May Catalonia one day be independent.

 

It might even be good for Spain if that were to happen.

I hope California will be independent soon, but unfortunately it will probably not happen.

I would like to live in a similar climate. And then, most likely, I would not even know what tinnitus is (a long story).

I'm so tired of the long winter, the cold and the lack of sun in Russia. I have to take vitamin D.
