Ringing in My Right Ear

Hello everyone, I have been dealing with tinnitus for roughly 8 days now. It is on my right ear. (Although sometimes I can feel it in the centre of my head). The ringing varies a lot. It can get from low pitched to high pitched specially when I get anxious. The doctor told me I have ear wax that's been completely attached to my ear drum. (I used q tips in the past). They tried syringing a couple days back but it was too hard to come out. Told me to put oil for a week and go back for another syringing.

I'm 23 and this is the first time I'm dealing with tinnitus
My worry is will it go away after I get the wax removed?

Nobody can predict that, but the fact that you have a probable cause that can be fixed is encouraging.

 

I wouldn't do syringing again that was the reason why I have tinnitus. If you can see if they can send you to an ENT instead to get it removed manually

Whatever you do, don't let them use a syringe on you.

 

It may well go away with the wax removed. (Be careful how you get it removed, as others have stated.) Set your expectations accordingly, though: don't expect it to go away immediately. It will probably subside slowly over the course of days/weeks.
